Since Hurricane Helene caused widespread devastation in western North Carolina, there has been an outpouring of support. People have sent water, food, blankets, and other items they thought would help those who have lost everything. (In fact, people were so generous that everyone was asked to wait before donating further.) Churches have served as collection sites, with their members truly being the hands and feet of Christ as they offer aid and comfort to those seeking help.

In the New Testament, Paul wrote letters to encourage fellow believers during difficult times. Now, we have that same opportunity to share a note of encouragement and uplift our fellow believers. We will be collecting notes of encouragement for churches in our conference located in areas affected by Hurricane Helene.

Note cards and brown collection bins are available in Memorial Hall and the curved hallway. If you have note cards of your own, please feel free to use them. For our children who may want to participate, a drawing or picture would also be warmly welcomed. We will be accepting these through Sunday, November 24.
