This Advent season, we’re setting out On the Way to Bethlehem, inspired by Rob Fuquay’s powerful reflections. Each step of our journey shines with themes of hope, peace, joy, love, care, and return, drawing us closer to the heart of Christmas. Together, let’s prepare to embrace the wonder and light that await us in the manger!

Add a touch of holiday warmth to our sanctuary by dedicating a poinsettia from Johnson’s Greenhouse in honor or memory of a loved one. These beautiful poinsettias, available for $25 each, will be displayed during our Cantata service on December 15th and can be taken home afterward. Any remaining plants will be moved to Memorial Hall for later pickup.
To order, simply click the “Purchase” button below and select the “Congregational Engagement” fund from the dropdown menu. Remember to include “IMO” (In Memory Of) or “IHO” (In Honor Of) along with the names in the memo. Orders with payment are due by December 11, 2024. You may also mail checks to the church office or bring them to church with “IMO” or “IHO” in the memo line. If you have any questions, reach out to Pastor Tracy or Gibson Palmes.
All funds collected will support ministry projects led by the 2025 Congregational Engagement Work Team (formerly Nurture).

Join Us for a Joyful Epiphany Celebration with Bishop Ken Carter!
Begin the new year with us at Broad Street UMC for a very special Epiphany Sunday! We’re thrilled to welcome Bishop Ken Carter, who will join us to lead worship and celebrate Holy Communion. This will be an uplifting start to 2025, as we gather to reflect on the light of Christ and what it means for our lives.
What’s Epiphany All About?
In the United Methodist Church, Epiphany is a time of discovery and joy. It celebrates the moment the Magi, or wise men, visited Jesus, following a star that led them to recognize the true light of God in the world. Epiphany reminds us that Jesus is here for everyone, inviting each of us to seek and share God’s love. Observed right after the Christmas season, this day helps us begin the year with hearts open to new beginnings and fresh purpose.
Start the Year with Meaning and Community
This Epiphany Sunday will offer a beautiful chance to connect with one another, renew our faith, and look forward to all the ways we can shine Christ’s light in the world this year. Join us for this joyful time together—we can’t wait to see you and celebrate as a community!
