Get ready for a powerful and uplifting Sunday at Broad Street! On May 4, we’re honored to welcome Dr. Michael Brown—a nationally respected author, motivational speaker, and pastor—for a morning of dynamic preaching and teaching.

Dr. Brown served as Senior Minister of Marble Collegiate Church in New York City for ten years, following in the legacy of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, author of The Power of Positive Thinking. Marble Collegiate is one of the oldest Protestant congregations in America, and under Dr. Brown’s leadership, it remained a vibrant voice for faith, hope, and healing in the heart of Manhattan.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Brown is a graduate of High Point University, holds a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and earned doctorates from Drew University and Pfeiffer University. He has served on the faculty of both Drew Theological School and the Pfeiffer University School of Religion and continues to mentor pastors and leaders around the country.

Dr. Brown is a gifted communicator who brings a message he calls “practical positivity”—a blend of humor, biblical truth, and real-life wisdom that speaks to the heart. He is the author of several books, including Love is the Way, God and Other Famous Liberals, and Bottom Line Beliefs. His writings have been featured in The Huffington Post and Thrive Global, and his work has appeared in four ABC-TV specials, one NBC special, and two PBS specials.

He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and the C-Suite Thought Council, and he has spoken to audiences across the country in churches, conferences, universities, and corporate settings.
