The Finance Committee is excited to reintroduce a meaningful way to think about generosity and support for our beloved Broad Street UMC—Planned Legacy Giving. This form of giving is not only impactful but essential for the vitality of all faith communities, and we look forward to exploring it together.
To help us better understand this important opportunity, we’re hosting a special dinner and speaker event on the last Wednesday of April.
Our guest speaker is Nancy Beard, a seasoned expert in charitable giving. Nancy has served as President of the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals, is a longtime member of the NC Council of Charitable Gift Planners, and brings over thirty years of experience in the field—eleven of those years focused solely on faith communities. In addition, she is a life coach, a sought-after conference leader, and currently serves as the Director of Endowment Giving for United Way of Iredell County. Through her work, she is helping launch a community-wide campaign to promote the joy and long-term impact of legacy giving. Nancy’s passion is helping others create a giving plan that reflects their values and leaves a lasting legacy of hope.
We hope you’ll join us for an inspiring evening of fellowship, good food, and thoughtful conversation about the future of our faith and how each of us can be a part of it.
