There is something powerful about being seen. A warm smile, a friendly greeting, and a simple acknowledgment can make all the difference when someone walks through the doors of Broad Street UMC. This is why we are seeking to reactivate our Greeters Team—and with Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter just around the corner, the need for this ministry has never been greater!
Last Sunday, someone shared with me how important it is to be seen. That moment reinforced just how much this simple act of welcome matters. As we prepare for these meaningful worship services, we need volunteers to serve as greeters—to offer a warm hello, provide directions, and help make Broad Street a place where all feel at home.
Where We Need Greeters:
• Every Sunday: Four greeters for our traditional service: One at the hallway entrance, One with Mr. Lee at the main entrance, One at each of the two main aisles
• Special Services (Easter & Good Friday): Additional greeters in Memorial Hall to assist with welcome and directions
The goal is to form teams so that no one is serving alone, and the joy of this ministry can be shared. Even in just the brief moments of greeting, there is joy to be found in seeing and being seen!
Would you be willing to serve as a greeter? Sign up today and help us create a welcoming atmosphere at Broad Street UMC. You can CLICK HERE or contact the church office to volunteer. Let’s fill our church with the gift of presence, hospitality, and joy—one greeting at a time!
