This Christmas, Broad Street UMC is partnering with Foundation of Hope Ministries, a local nonprofit serving our homeless and displaced communities, including families living in local motels. Their outreach also supports those who are justice-involved, facing mental illness, struggling with substance misuse, or are at-risk youth.
Through our Angel Tree program, we will serve 20 children in Iredell County who have a parent incarcerated. Did you know that 1 in 28 children in the U.S. has a mom or dad behind bars?
The Prison Fellowship Angel Tree program helps incarcerated parents connect with their children, allowing local congregations to extend the hope of the Gospel and bring families together at Christmas—one gift at a time. Thank you for partnering with us to remind these children they are loved, not only by their parent but also by Jesus!
How to Participate:
• Pick up an angel from the tree located in the curved hallway near the sanctuary.
• When you pick up your angel, please leave your name and contact phone number by the child’s name on the form provided.
• Gifts should be unwrapped and returned by Friday, December 15.
• The collection point is also in the curved hallway beside the Angel Tree.
Let’s come together as a church family to share Christ’s love this Christmas!
